Youth Council Application

The Squamish Youth Council is open to all youth aged 14 to 24. If you would like to apply to join the Squamish Youth Council, please complete the application form below by Friday, October 23, 2026.

OUR GOALS:

To amplify the voice of Squamish youth in matters and projects that directly impact them.

To create and support youth-centered projects and programming that align with the Squamish Youth Strategy.

To encourage civic engagement amongst Squamish youth.

To connect youth with community leaders, politicians and organizations for the purpose of sharing ideas and feedback.

To create a legacy that gives Squamish youth a seat at the decision-making table for years to come.

Considering your other commitments, are you able to dedicate the second Wednesday of each month from 5:45-8:30pm to fully participate in Youth Council?

What high level extra curricular sports/dance/commitments do you have (if any) that have competitions that require time away from Squamish at certain times of the year (dance, soccer, volleyball) that could fall on a Youth Council day.

Meetings will be SECOND WEDNESDAY of each month December to May with an Orientation in November.

I am aware that there being only 8 youth council meetings, by completing this application I am committing to attending ALL meetings except in unique circumstance of illness or out of town sports/dance/school event that I don’t have control over.
