Cancellation and Refund Fees

PROGRAM REFUND
AND PRIVATE LESSONS:

To receive a full refund the registrant must withdraw in person, or by calling Squamish Recreation Services and Culture, 72 hours prior to the start of the first class.This includes private swim lesson(s). 

Withdrawals completed less than 72 hours prior to the start of a registered program will be charged a $15 withdrawal fee + applicable taxes. 

No refund is available for programs after the start of the second class. 

SPECIALTY PROGRAMS, DAY AND WEEKLY CAMP(S) REFUND:

To receive a full refund the registrant must withdraw in person, or by calling Squamish Recreation Services and Culture, five (5) calendar days (120 hours) prior to the start of the first day of the weekly camps and specialty programs or five (5) calendar days (120 hours) prior to the start of the day camp. 

No refund will be issued if withdrawal is requested less than five (5) calendar days (120 hours) prior to the specialty program or camp start time. 

Specialty Programs include but are not limited to the following: Water Safety Instructor, Standard First Aid, National Lifeguard, Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, workshops and, bus trips, etc. 

MERCHANDISE REFUND:

If found to be defective, merchandise may be returned within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase. A receipt is required in order to receive a refund.

RENTAL CANCELLATIONS:

Cancellations five (5) full calendar days (120 hours) or more before the rental start time receive a 100% refund. 

Cancellations two to four (2-4) calendar days (48 – 120 hours) before the rental start time receive a 50% refund. 

Cancellations less than two (2) calendar days (48 hours) before the rental start time receive no refund. 

ADMINISTRATION FEE:

A $10 administration fee + applicable taxes applies to refunds if the refund is initiated by the customer. 

Refunds for programs, rentals, passes, or memberships may be given for medical reasons. A medical note is required unless exempted by the Director of Recreation Services. 

PASS EXPIRY:

10 and 20 Visit Passes expire two (2) years from the date they are purchased. Unused passes are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
