KidSport Squamish
Overview
KidSportTM is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process KidSportTM provides grants so they can play a season of sport. Since its creation in 1993, over 450,000 kids across the country have been given the chance to play sport through KidSportTM grants and sport introduction programming.
Mission Statement
KidSportTM believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSportTM provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.
KidSportTM Chapters
Nationally, KidSportTM provides support and resources to a network of 178 provincial/territorial and community chapters. Each chapter manages all operations, including fundraising, application intake and grant distribution for its community.
