LOT O - ZONING AMENDMENT

The District has received an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Zone No. 69 to increase the permitted number of residential rental tenure units from 207 to 249 units in Area C. An amendment to the PDA will be required. A Development Permit application proposes 249 rental units in 5 buildings with industrial at grade; a sixth building includes a childcare facility and space for Squamish Arts.

MISTRAL MARINA - LOGGERS LANE

OCEANFRONT - POP UP VILLAGE

The District of Squamish has received a Delegated Development Permit application to establish the form and character of a Pop-Up Village. The Pop-Up Village is envisioned as a interim destination at the Oceanfront while the permanent retail village is planned and built. The Pop-Up Village proposes opportunities for food trucks, wellness, community events and informal social spaces.

THE VILLAGE on BAILEY ST

This application, if approved would allow for a rezoning from I-6 (Rail Transportation) and C-4 (Downtown Commercial) to a Comprehensive Development Zone.

Project Details:

LOT A is within the Downtown Gateway land use and LOT B and C are within the Downtown Residential Land Use.

The development is located adjacent to active Canadian National Railway lines and is within 300m of both Ecole Squamish Elementary and Howe Sound Secondary. It is within 300M of Highway 99 access and the main vehicle access to all three lots will be from Bailey Street. The Project is proposing 6,529 SQ.M of commercial area and 200 residential units, ranging from studio to 3 bedroom townhouse. A total of 483 parking stalls are being proposed, which in total, meet current zoning bylaw requirements.
