Licensing your dog

All dogs over the age of eight weeks must display a current licence tag at all times. All annual dog licences expire on December 31. To avoid late fees, purchase your renewal licence by January 31.

Lost tags can be replaced at a cost of $6.25

How much does a licence cost?

Before January 31:

Unspayed or neutered  $62.50  $50
Certified guide dogs/service dogs  Free  Free
Dangerous dogs $100 $80
Replacement tags or transfer of licence  $6.25  $6.25

 After January 31:

How to Licence

Dogs licences can not be registered online or over the phone. Please visit Municipal Hall for new registrations. If your dog is spayed or neutered bring a copy of the certificate of spay or neuter.

Dogs spayed or neutered during the year may be eligible for a partial refund.
