Multi-family Homes

Multi-family homes, including townhouses, apartments, and condominiums, are required to provide waste collection services with separate containers for garbage, organics, and recyclables.

Requirements include:

• Separate recycling, organic and garbage waste.
• Place garbage in clear bags. Opaque privacy bags are allowed but cannot exceed 10% of total waste.
• Limit mixed waste (contamination) to no more than 5%.
• Provide educational material to residents, tenants, employees and contractors.
