Grass fire reminder: fire danger should be top-of-mind all the time

It’s only March, but dry weather has resulted in conditions where fine fuels such as long grass can easily ignite. Case in point, Squamish Fire Rescue attended and knocked down a grass fire on Thursday afternoon on Government Road near the Spit Road.

Fire danger should be top-of-mind all the time. Please be responsible and extremely careful. If you see fire call 9-1-1.
