Guns & Hoses hockey game postponed

We are sorry to announce that the Guns & Hoses hockey game, scheduled for Friday March 13 at 6 p.m. at Brennan Park Recreation Centre, has been postponed amid COVID-19 concerns.

At the time of this decision, provincial health authorities are recommending that events with more than 250 attendees be cancelled due to the inability to maintain social distancing in a large crowd. The added consideration that the event involves a large number of Squamish’s emergency personnel also makes this the right decision for our community.

Organizers will aim to reschedule this popular local event later this year. While not quite the NHL, but certainly more fun, the battle for reigning local supremacy will be played out at a future date and time.

Organizers wish to thank everyone for their understanding, and for those who may have already donated to the charitable cause - thank you!

The District of Squamish will keep residents apprised of any changes to programming at District facilities that may occur in this evolving COVID-19 situation. Please stay tuned to our website at Squamish.ca and social media channels for details over the coming days.
