- Crews are currently focusing on the following:
- Laneways;
- Missed roads;
- District of Squamish sidewalks;
- Safe routes to school;
- Bus stops;
- Fire hydrants;
- Waste water lift stations;
- Salting red routes;
- Drainage (digging out catch basins and trenching to ditches) to relieve flooding anticipated for later this week.
- Crews will be doing weekly garbage collection for public bins located in Downtown Squamish, parks and other areas.
- Downtown Squamish cleanup efforts will continue tonight.
- Crews will be focusing on safe routes to school before school resumes on Monday, January 8. Both safe routes to school and drainage work will include widening out the embankments in some areas.
Crews will continue to work on these areas both day and night throughout the week. Thank you for everyone who has help lent a hand and for your ongoing patience as our cleanup efforts continue!
