The importance of staying vigilant to keep COVID-19 at bay

According to a notice on the door at Tim Hortons at 38930 Progress Way, the restaurant closed temporarily on the evening of August 6. The notice refers to an evolving health situation. If there is a positive COVID-19 case at a facility where the public may have been at risk, Vancouver Coastal Health will issue an update and provide the information on the Public Exposures page on their website.

As we continue to follow the guidance of Dr. Bonnie Henry and Public Health, we need to assume that COVID-19 is present where we go and take the necessary precautions. Maintaining physical distance, practicing good hand hygiene, and staying home if we have the slightest sense that we may be sick, are the most effective ways of living with and managing the risk while we go about our business and keep our communities functioning. If you have symptoms related to COVID-19, however mild, please call your family doctor or 8-1-1, seek testing and then self-isolate.
