Sanitary Lift Station Rehabilitation Program
Overview
The District will be completing upgrades at various sanitary lift stations across Squamish in 2024. An engineering consultant is assisting staff by identifying the highest priority deficiencies in our lift stations and providing design solutions for required upgrades. In 2024, the program will focus on critical upgrades at seven lift stations as shown in the Location Map.
Project Information
The District has 25 Sanitary Lift Stations of varying size, type, age and condition that require ongoing maintenance and upgrades to address issues and meet current standards. A condition assessment was completed for all 25 lift stations in 2021 to identify deficiencies at the different sites. Moving forward, this program will be broken into annual phases to address higher-priority deficiencies.
