When the West Coast Heritage Museum first opened in 1994 it showcased “Western Canada’s largest collection of heritage railway rolling stock” (www.wcra.org). The heritage park and 21,000 square-foot CN Roundhouse & Conference Centre present a typical railway facility from the mid-20th century. Visitors can take a ride on the 2.5km miniature train, tour authentic railway equipment and town centre featuring a station building, heritage house, and post office car.
