Mamquam Road (gravel portion) Closed Due to Public Danger

Barricades and Do Not Enter signs have been installed on the gravel portion of Mamquam Road (east of Paco Road) due to fractures discovered along a 400-metre section of the road as a result of the heavy rain. There has also been a substantial landslide near the bottom, blocking the road completely.

There is significant public safety risk as the slope is unpredictable and unstable, and could fail. No-one should travel this road on foot or by bike (the road is already closed to vehicle traffic).

The District is exploring next steps and will provide further updates when available.
