Rainfall warning issued for Howe Sound
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Howe Sound. Rain, at times heavy, is expected. The heavy rain will begin early Friday morning and continue through Friday night. Rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm are expected by Saturday morning.
Please help prevent flooding by clearing catch basins on your property of leaves that may accumulate. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Stay well back from rivers and tributaries and expect water levels to rise rapidly.
