Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy

The District of Squamish recognizes that art, culture, and heritage play significant roles in enhancing civic pride, defining community identity, and attracting the talent and investment needed for cities to grow and thrive.

The District is developing an Arts, Culture, and Heritage Strategy to strengthen the cultural richness of our community. This multi-phased strategy will aim to identify opportunities to improve and expand access to experiences throughout our community.

Get Involved:

We are looking for community feedback on what you currently enjoy and what you would like to see more of when it comes to arts, culture and heritage experiences in Squamish.

Watch for public engagement opportunities this summer at festivals and events throughout Squamish, after which deeper consultation with stakeholder groups across our community will take place.

Launch the survey to let us know what you think.

We do need a venue for live performance. The artists we could host... also, my girls take dance and we don’t have a theatre for their recitals, seriously, they have to do 5-10 shows just so that most of the parents can see their kid dance. Please.

A multi-use performance arts centre/theatre is definitely needed!

We need a multi-purpose 500-800 capacity live music venue for the events! Constellation Fest was an example of how lucrative this could be, with the rising population in Squamish we need an evolving arts and music culture to appease our community! Thankyou!!

Had the best weekend of my life at the constellation festival! The music, food and art was all out of this world! The beautiful surrounding was just the cherry on top! I’ll definitely be returning for next years festival!
