3 ways to recycle your tree

Wondering what to do with your tree now that the holiday season has officially come to an end? Here are three ways to recycle it. 

1. Bring your tree to the Canadian Tire Garden Center lot on January 7 and 8, between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. for chipping by the Squamish Scouts. Remember to remove all tinsel and decorations.

2. Compost your tree at the Squamish Landfill (yard waste fees apply). The landfill is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 days a week. 

3. Cut off all branches and cut the tree trunk to no more than 3 feet long and 3 inches in diameter and place it in your organics tote. Please ensure you can completely close and lock your tote.
