Brennan Park open during Air Quality Alert

An Air Quality Statement has been issued by Environment Canada due to the smoky skies in Squamish. Individuals may experience symptoms such as increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath. Children, seniors, and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma, are especially at risk.

Air-conditioned Brennan Park Recreation Centre is available for residents to drop-in and stay cool. The Recreation Centre is open today (Sunday) until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
If your home is not air-conditioned, be sure the house doesn't get too warm when doors and windows are closed to keep out smoke. Exposure to too much heat can also result in illness.
