Brennan Park Recreation Centre Operations Update for November 10

District of Squamish staff continue to work to adapt operations at Brennan Park Recreation Centre (BPRC) in response to the latest Order from the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) issued on November 7, 2020. The facility has been closed on Sunday, November 8 and Monday, November 9 while staff work to understand the details of the Order which impose a two-week restriction on group physical activities, among other items until November 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm.

The following activities at BPRC are not restricted in the provincial order and will continue as scheduled, due to the distancing they afford:

*Bubbles are temporarily limited to members of your immediate household only, as per provincial guidance.

All remaining programs originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 10 have been cancelled. District staff will be working with local sports associations to understand how safety plans can be updated and approved to allow for a return to practice in some sports.

Anyone registered in a suspended class will receive a credit or refund and customer service staff will reach out to them over the coming days.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in supporting these important public health measures aimed at minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  The PHO order can be viewed here. Pre-register for scheduled activities at squamishlive.ca or call Brennan Park at 604.898.3604 for support.
