Campfire ban lifted throughout the District of Squamish as of April 28 at noon

Squamish Fire Rescue has lifted the campfire ban across the District of Squamish effective as of Tuesday, April 28 at noon.

A combination of recent wet weather and the current forecasted conditions has prompted the lift of the ban.

A permit is required for all backyard campfires, which must be supervised by an adult and no greater than 0.5 metres in height or diameter.

Permits are being issued online only at this time. Permits are valid for the duration that one lives at the registered property. Annual renewal is no longer required.

To apply for a campfire permit, please visit: squamish.ca/fire-permit/

Please contact Squamish Fire Rescue at 604.898.9666 for further information, or call 911 to report a fire.
