Day Camps Added During BCTF Strike

The BC Teachers’ Federation has formally issued a strike notice which is set to begin next week on Tuesday, June 17 and have also issued a teacher’s study session (job action) for Monday, June 16.

In response to this announcement and to help out parents during the strike, Recreation Services will be offering day camps throughout the duration of the strike.

Registration for the Monday and Tuesday day camps will open on Friday, June 13; however, due to the possibility that the strike could be resolved at any time, registration for each day camp thereafter will open 2 days in advance (for example, registration for Wednesday’s day camp will open on Monday, Thursday’s day camp on Tuesday and so on).

If a camp is full please be sure to place your child on a waitlist as Recreation Services staff will strive to accommodate all on the waitlist during the strike.

To register online please visit www.squamishlive.ca or for additional information please contact Recreation Services at 604.898.3604.
