High fire danger rating curtails high-risk industrial activities

The District of Squamish is currently in a high fire danger rating, therefore high risk industrial activities within 300 metres of forested and grass lands can only take place between sunset and 13:00, and a two hour fire watch must follow.

These requirements will remain in effect until the danger rating drops to 'moderate' for two consecutive days, or to 'low'. To determine what is deemed a high risk activity, please click on this link.

This restriction applies to any work within the District of Squamish.
