Impacts to Highway 99 and Corridor Trail due to Waterfront Landing Infrastructure Works

Upcoming work in relation to the Waterfront Landing Development (WFL) will impact northbound Highway 99 and the Corridor Trail north of Clarke Drive. WFL will be working to tie-in its sanitary sewer infrastructure to the District’s sewer main, which runs along the east side of Highway 99. As part of the work, the main District sewer main will be upgraded by the developer.

Corridor Trail Closure:

The construction will temporarily impact the Corridor Trail and a closure will be required from mid-October through mid-December. A detour route to/from Valleycliffe will be sign-posted along Clarke Drive and Scott Crescent. Please use extra caution on the detour route as it is also used by one-way vehicles.

"Share the Roadway" signage will be posted for vehicles to alert drivers to additional pedestrian and bike traffic travelling this route in both directions.

Highway Impacts:

An estimated two-week single-lane closure of the northbound shoulder lane on Highway 99 will be required for a short section of the highway across from the Shell gas station and Mag’s 99. Further details will be provided in the coming weeks with regards to timing.

We thank citizens for their patience while this important infrastructure work is completed. Further details are available on our website: https://squamish.ca/waterfront-landing-99/.
