Province of British Columbia launches public engagement on plastic reduction

Today, the Province of British Columbia announced it is seeking feedback to ban, reduce and recycle more plastics. We applaud the Province’s efforts to be a leader in reducing plastic pollution and plastic use overall, and appreciate all the efforts from local governments across the province to help draw attention to this important issue. Squamish is developing its own single use plastics bylaw to substantially reduce the use of plastic check-out bags and straws, and we welcome this news from the province to help us all get there.

Please take time to fill out a 10-minute survey. B.C. can be a place where plastic pollution becomes a thing of the past. Help us get there!
