Operations Update: Hazardous conditions as a result of freezing rain

Updated: Friday, January 7 at 1:45 p.m.

Power to the Waste Water Treatment Plant has been restored, and the Powerhouse Springs Well is operating on backup power. Regular use of water can resume. Thank you for your cooperation and patience!

Branches continue to fall due to strong winds, and a dedicated Public Works tree crew is bucking and removing branches as needed throughout the District.

Residents are strongly encouraged to stay home or minimize travel as branches are falling from trees onto roads, sidewalks and trails throughout the District. Please use extreme caution if travel is needed.

Many power outages are occurring throughout the District. Please take extra precautions by ensuring the following household supplies are on hand:

  • Small portable AM/FM radio with extra batteries;

  • Non-perishable food (canned or dried), ensure you have a suitable supply of food for babies, toddlers and pets;
