Possible intruder posing as District employee

The District of Squamish received a telephone call from a concerned resident on Mamquam Road on Thursday afternoon, September 20, indicating that she found someone on her back deck who claimed to be a District of Squamish employee. He said that he was investigating possible flooding that might be occurring in basements or suites.

This person showed no identification and to the best of our knowledge was not a District employee. The resident was advised to call the RCMP.

District employees would always carry District of Squamish identification and would always knock on the front door of a home to speak to residents. 

Please be aware and extra vigilant in light of this situation.
