Public Health Order restrictions require online, telephone or written Council meeting participation

Due to a recent change in Public Health Orders, the District of Squamish can no longer offer Brennan Park Recreation Centre as an option for in-person public participation in Council Meetings and Public Hearings.

The December 2, 2020 Public Health order related to Gatherings and Events prohibits in-person attendance at council and board meetings, hearings, committee meetings, open houses, and other in-person meetings.

Ensuring that meetings are accessible to members of the public continues to be an important principle that we are working hard to uphold during these challenging times. There are a variety of other ways to participate, including by telephone if the online meeting platform (Webex) is not an option for you. Written submissions to Council are also always welcome.
