Recreation programs will return to full capacity

The Province has announced an ease of restrictions including removing capacity limits for gatherings, events and recreation programs.

As of Thursday, February 17, 2022, Squamish Recreation Services programs, including fitness, aquatics, rinks and tournaments, will return to 100% capacity. Physical distancing and spectator capacity restrictions will also be lifted.

Proof of vaccination and mask requirements remain in place.

The Provincial Health Officer has not lifted the requirement to show proof of vaccination, and this is therefore still required to attend most programs and activities held at District of Squamish recreation facilities. Those registered in a program to which the vaccine requirement applies will continue to be asked to present proof of vaccine. A B.C. Vaccine Card is the easiest way to show proof of vaccine. Two doses of vaccine is considered fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is not required at the Squamish Public Library or Municipal Hall.

Masks continue to be required in all public indoor settings for all people born in 2017 or earlier (age 5+).
