Smoky skies bulletin issued for Howe Sound

Environment Canada has issued a special air quality statement for Howe Sound.

Air quality levels will be impacted throughout much of southern BC as a result of wildfire smoke. People with pre-existing health conditions, respiratory infections such as COVID-19, older adults, pregnant women and infants, children, and sensitive individuals are more likely to experience health effects from smoke exposure.

Please consider staying inside if you have breathing difficulties, and stay air aware by checking your local weather forecasts and alerts.

For information on how to reduce your health risk and your personal contribution to pollution levels, as well as for current and forecast AQHI values visit airhealth.ca.
