Special weather statement issued

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement  for Squamish and Sea to Sky. More stormy weather is expected as an approaching Pacific frontal system will spread snow over the Howe Sound area on Tuesday. While there is some uncertainty in the exact snowfall amounts, up to 20 cm can be possible by Wednesday morning. Additionally, strong northeast outflow winds may reduce visibility in blowing snow.

Please monitor Environment Canada for future forecasts and warnings as issued, and http://drivebc.ca/ for road conditions.

Visit the District's Snow & Ice Control  page for information on snow clearing priorities and how you can help out in a storm.
