Special weather statement and rainfall warning issued for Howe Sound

UPDATED 4:25 p.m.: Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement and rainfall warning for Howe Sound. 

The next Pacific storm is expected to reach the south coast on Thursday with the potential for strong winds and heavy rainfall. 

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. 

A High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect.
