State of Local Emergency Cancelled
The District of Squamish has cancelled the State of Local Emergency that was declared on Wednesday, April 15 in response to the Magee Road Fire, and the need to place District of Squamish residents in the area of Paradise Valley on Evacuation Alert. The Magee Road Wildfire emergency no longer requires prompt coordination of action or special regulation of persons or property to protect the health, safety or welfare of people or to limit damage to property, therefore it is cancelled, effective April 21, 2020.
