The BC Wildfire Management Branch is on scene in Squamish at a small standing timber fire (approximate size is 30' x 50') located above Rockridge Place (end of Tantalus Road) adjacent to Jack's Trail (at the southern edge of the Alice Lake trail network). Squamish Fire Rescue crews initially responded to the fire and remain on scene in a supporting role.

Helicopter support is bucketing the head of the fire. Cooling temperatures and a drop in wind is assisting with the response.

No homes are threatened at this time.

Updates will be provided as new information is available.
