UPDATE: No job action currently planned for public transit in the Sea to Sky region

The District of Squamish has been informed that a tentative agreement has been reached between BC Transit's contractor in Squamish, Diversified Transportation, and its unionized employees.

The union will vote on the agreement next week. It is the District's understanding that no job action is planned for public transit in the Sea to Sky Region at this time. 

The District works very closely with BC Transit on service delivery to the community, though this is a private labour dispute between Diversified Transportation and its unionized employees. We are hopeful and cautiously optimistic for a quick, fair and reasonable settlement for all involved.
