BC Transit and the District of Squamish welcome public feedback on proposed changes to transit service in 2018, and on long-term transit expansion priorities. Come to one of the three open houses on Friday, November 24, or provide feedback through an online survey (open until November 30).
The proposed changes for 2018 include discussion about a South Squamish Parks Service Pilot providing service to Shannon Falls, the Sea to Sky Gondola and the Stawamus Chief from June to September. Other proposed changes involve adjustments to routes 1 Brackendale, 2 Highlands and 4 Tantalus, and the introduction of a new route, 9 Quest, to provide additional weekday service along the Core Transit Network. The consultation will also discuss additional service hours for handyDART to meet the growing demand.
The Sea to Sky Transit Future Plan provides a vision for improving the Squamish Transit network over 25 years. Community feedback will build on this plan by helping to identify service changes and priorities over the next several years.
