The District of Squamish is hosting an in-person and virtual open house as part of the 2020 Zoning Bylaw Update related to the Stage 3 General Amendments. Each event will cover the same content.

Who is it for?
These open house events are a chance for interested community members to review proposed changes to the zoning bylaw related to the stage 3 general amendments. Staff have drafted the District Zoning Bylaw No. 2824, 2021, which will repeal and replace the current District Zoning Bylaw No. 2200, 2011.
What's proposed?
The Stage 3 Amendments include roughly 100 amendments and can be categorized into three categories:
How can I prepare?
Prior to the Open Houses feel free to review the Stage 3 General Amendments Report to Council, the Completed Items Spreadsheet and the Draft Zoning Bylaw No. 2824, 2021 (with tracked changes), which can be found on the
Stage 3 updates project page.
These webpages provide an overview of the proposed amendments. To facilitate review of the proposed changes, staff recommend reviewing the report to Council followed by the completed items spread sheet, then referencing the relevant section in the draft Bylaw.
