Grant funding available for all female and female-identifying Squamish Bike Camp participants

50% discount provided through Gender Equity Grant to increase participation of girls in sport

As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing the development of female youth riders, Squamish Recreation Services is pleased to announce that all female and female-identifying riders are eligible to receive a 50% discount on all Squamish Bike Camp programs as part of the Gender Equity in Recreational Sport Grant, offered in part through the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) and the Government of Canada. The CPRA Gender Equity Grant provides funding to female and female-identifying mountain bikers aged 7 to 13 to advance gender equity in coaching and sport. Applicants are automatically eligible during the program registration process on all mountain biking programs through Fall 2021. Registration for Spring Programs is now open at squamishlive.ca.

Squamish Bike Camp programs are offered in association with Squamish Off-Road Cycling Association (SORCA) to help young riders build confidence and skill while challenging themselves in a fun, supportive and safe environment. Riders will explore a variety of trails based on individual skill level. All Bike Camps will be delivered by District of Squamish Recreation Services.
