Every weekend my husband and just stay home and hide in the shade of our yard, because This summer we can't go to any of our lakes or parks anymore in Squamish. Been here for 34 years and this is our new reality. Still love our town, but sad that we are not able to cool down in any rivers or lakes or go to parks or go safely to our grocery stores on weekends since they are full of tourists travelling here, promoted by our council. Isn't council concerned about Covid 19 anymore? No social distancing...... my husband finally decided to venture out to ride to Paradise Valley and saw many many many people standing beside each other trying to get onto rafts with the local rafting company No concern for Covid health regulations. We pay taxes and we deserve to have a safe town.
